Renato Ghidini began his career in 1982 as an apprentice at Swiss Bank Corporation in Basel. In 1987, he spent a year working as an assistant to a stockbroker on the Paris Stock Exchange. After various trading activities in the stock exchange department of the Swiss Bank Corporation and attending the University of Applied Sciences of the two Basel cantons while working, he set up the sales department for derivative products. In 1992, he moved to what was then Ciba-Geigy, where he was responsible for the company's equity investments and pension fund. Following the merger with Novartis and responsibility for the pension fund's equity investments, he returned to what is now UBS in 1997. There he was responsible for setting up a consulting and sales department for external asset managers. In 2003, he moved to an asset manager and in 2010 became self-employed with Key Advisors AG.
Dr Michael Kull was born in Basel in 1969. After studying law at the University of Basel and being admitted to the bar in 1997, he obtained his doctorate in 1999. He began his legal career as a partner in a Basel commercial law firm before founding Nigon Kull & Partner in 2004 together with Gabriel Nigon and other partners, which was renamed Nigon Rechtsanwälte / Notariat in 2016.
He specialises in distribution law, employment law – particularly in the area of the Employment Services Act – and matrimonial and family law. He advises and represents companies and private individuals in these areas. Dr Kull is a supporting member of the Swiss Franchise Association, a member of the International Franchise Lawyers Association (IFLA) and a regular contributor to the Journal of Distribution Law (ZVertriebsR), where he is a member of the editorial board. In 2014, he also served as editor and commentator for a specialist commentary on the Employment Services Act. In addition, he takes on mandates in commercial criminal law, both as a representative of private plaintiffs and as a criminal defence lawyer.
